| Location: Logan,Ut,United States Member Since: Jul 14, 2013 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: My very first race was the Top of Utah Half Marathon. I finished in 01:29:45. Even though it wasn't amazing, I took 3rd place in my age division which was a huge accomplishment for myself. After that I did a large amount of 5 and 10K's, Ragnar's, etc. In 2012 I put together and Ultra Ragnar Team. After this I started to focus on shorter races and worked towards running track with Utah State University. As I was getting close to running with the team, I met Cody Draper. He introduced me to trail running....I'm now a trail runner! Just did my first ultra marathon two weeks ago...Logan Peak. I finished in 5th place and got under my goal of 5 hours.
Short-Term Running Goals: In the next two years, I'd like to run a 50K and a 50 miler. If those two races go well, I'd like to do the Bear 100 in 2 years from this summer. Long-Term Running Goals: I'm not sure how much of a goal this is...it's more of a wish that's way towards the stars. I'd like to eventually get good enough that I have offers to be sponsored as a runner. But my actual long term goals are:
1. A 100 miler 2. Win an ultra marathon. 3. Be apart of the 80 year old marathon runner club Personal: I'm single! The only exciting thing going on in my life is I'm getting into trail running! |

| Did an extremely awesome loop with Erik, Nate, and a guy named Brian. Nate and Brian joined us for 18 miles. Erik and I did 32....he did 34...I was pooped and cut out early. Did the Ephraims Grave cut-off, then a bunch of new trails I've never done. Bear hollow was one. We looped up to the main road...then cut down a trail which headed to Left Hand fork. Then did some other new ones, and ended up at Richards Hollow. Then loopoed around to the main road again....I cut off Cowly canyon and headed back to the car. I was so tired....but it was so pretty. So pretty

| Went exploring in Weston Canyon. Went up dry canyon. Parked on the dirt road and started running. I made it 3 miles, then found an awesome single track trail. Only made it 2 miles, then turned around. It was so so so pretty. I need to check it out more in the future. Freaking watch messed up on the data....need to save up for a suunto....garmin is pissing me off

| Did a group run tonight...biggest group I've ever ran with. Cody, Zac, Erik, Joe, Nuckles, and Fan. We did the Ephram's Grave Cutoff and Steel Hollow loop. I was still pretty tired. It was great weather though.

| Did a run with Nic today. Finally got him out. We did Prov canyon....he gave a great effort. It turned into a hike towards the end. I didn't let up on the downhill though. Went at a pretty good pace. It was such a beautiful morning

| Today was an interesting, yet fun day. Erik, Cody and I traveled to Southern Utah to run the Zion Traverse....west entrance to east entrance. Was looking forward to getting a tan and enjoying the views....but, the first 30ish miles were: rainy, snowy, cloudy, cold, wet....couldn't see any views. It definitely was a little frustrating. But I tried my best to make the most of it. Had the GoPro and got some pretty good footage. I actually was having so much fun at first that I didn't even feel the cold. But once we met the crew at mile 15, I got super cold. I definitely wanted to quit and crew with Beth and the kids. But I kept going. It eventually cleared up....around mile 35. Was able to get a view of the park as we descended towards Angels Landing and the bottom. It was so pretty. After we were crewed at The Groto, I actually was feeling great. So I pushed it on the East Rim climb. I eventually got to a turn off and waited for Cody and Erik so I didn't choose the wrong way. By the time I started again....I was feeling it....in the legs, and lower back. I slowed down a lot. My back hurt quite a bit. But the finish line finally came.....it was a great run. Definitely need to do it again when the weather is better.

| Was gonna get up at 5 to run with Cody....slept terrible....was up at 4:40....fell back asleep....alarm didn't wake me up. I woke up on my own at 5:40. | Did a run with the crew today...Erik and Cody. We did some random loops up around the Wellsville's. We started up towards the tower. The view up there was pretty sweet....very dark clouds, but the sun rise out towards the east was pretty amazing. We then headed over to Rattlesnake and started going up...it was such a wet, mud-fest. Then, towards the top....it was very cold and very snowy.....my jacket, which was wet from the rain....froze to my arms. So we headed down and more north. Did some random loops, bushwacking, mud-sliding, dodging snipers...it was fun

| Did the Noblesville Mini Marathon with Ethan today. Running at 700 ft is quite amazing....it was so easy to breathe. Ethan has been sick and hasn't been running....so he went a lot slower than he was capable. We did it in around 1 hour and 50 minutes. I didn't even get a work out sadly....but, it was still a cool experience. Would have rather done a Cody run though

| Woke up to do a quick Memorial Day run while Ethan and his family relaxed. Did a run around their lake. It was HUMID....like, terribly humid. I was drenched by the end. I felt so nasty. And it was super windy. But I got a good pace in and got to see the country roads of Noblesville.
