| Location: Logan,Ut,United States Member Since: Jul 14, 2013 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: My very first race was the Top of Utah Half Marathon. I finished in 01:29:45. Even though it wasn't amazing, I took 3rd place in my age division which was a huge accomplishment for myself. After that I did a large amount of 5 and 10K's, Ragnar's, etc. In 2012 I put together and Ultra Ragnar Team. After this I started to focus on shorter races and worked towards running track with Utah State University. As I was getting close to running with the team, I met Cody Draper. He introduced me to trail running....I'm now a trail runner! Just did my first ultra marathon two weeks ago...Logan Peak. I finished in 5th place and got under my goal of 5 hours.
Short-Term Running Goals: In the next two years, I'd like to run a 50K and a 50 miler. If those two races go well, I'd like to do the Bear 100 in 2 years from this summer. Long-Term Running Goals: I'm not sure how much of a goal this is...it's more of a wish that's way towards the stars. I'd like to eventually get good enough that I have offers to be sponsored as a runner. But my actual long term goals are:
1. A 100 miler 2. Win an ultra marathon. 3. Be apart of the 80 year old marathon runner club Personal: I'm single! The only exciting thing going on in my life is I'm getting into trail running! |

| Today my legs were probably the sorest they've ever been on a run. Today was definitely a training run to prepare me for the final miles of the Bear 100. I did not want to run at all. But I eventually finished and the pace didn't end up being as slow as I thought it'd be.

| Today it snowed finally! Green canyon had a good amount of fresh powder on it. That made it a little difficult to get any speed at all. My back is super super sore though. The trail was pretty uneven which made it a little hard on the body. But, it was still fun. Went with Cody. What a good guy. He's a champ. Very good run overall

| Did green canyon today....simply put, the trail was awful. Very slippery. Couldn't get any good grip. Had to truck through some deep snow. Eventually i just turned around and did 2 miles on the road. There were tons of snow shoers but that didn't help much. Wasn't that great of a run.

| Did a long road run with Cody today. Started at the tabernacle, took the back roads in river heights, providence and mendon. Ended up about a mile away from the mouth of black smith fork canyon then headed back. Had a killer side ache for a good eight miles of it. Hit the wall with about seven miles left. The weather was awesome. Very warm. Very good work out today...felt like crap towards the end but still great.
