| Location: Logan,Ut,United States Member Since: Jul 14, 2013 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: My very first race was the Top of Utah Half Marathon. I finished in 01:29:45. Even though it wasn't amazing, I took 3rd place in my age division which was a huge accomplishment for myself. After that I did a large amount of 5 and 10K's, Ragnar's, etc. In 2012 I put together and Ultra Ragnar Team. After this I started to focus on shorter races and worked towards running track with Utah State University. As I was getting close to running with the team, I met Cody Draper. He introduced me to trail running....I'm now a trail runner! Just did my first ultra marathon two weeks ago...Logan Peak. I finished in 5th place and got under my goal of 5 hours.
Short-Term Running Goals: In the next two years, I'd like to run a 50K and a 50 miler. If those two races go well, I'd like to do the Bear 100 in 2 years from this summer. Long-Term Running Goals: I'm not sure how much of a goal this is...it's more of a wish that's way towards the stars. I'd like to eventually get good enough that I have offers to be sponsored as a runner. But my actual long term goals are:
1. A 100 miler 2. Win an ultra marathon. 3. Be apart of the 80 year old marathon runner club Personal: I'm single! The only exciting thing going on in my life is I'm getting into trail running! |

| Didn't have time for a normal long run today. Did the BST and green canyon half. It was cold and rainy so I didn't go the 18 I was planning. Went at a fairly easy pace. For some reason my watch didn't upload the data to strava. So, I don't have the exact info.

| Did my road and trail loop today. Went up to Dave's grave, did a little of Green, then BST over to first dam, then up to campus and down towards the hospital....looped back home. Got dark pretty quick...need to start taking a head lamp

| Did the Ephraim's Cutoff Trail and Steel Hollow Loop with Nuckles today. It was a great run....pretty cold as well. The stop of Steel had a good amount of snow. The ground was hard as well which made the descent kind of difficult. But it was a great run and I'm glad I got it in before the snow came. Great day.

| Did a long run with Nuckles today. We went and did my favorite run....the High creek, Naomi, Tony Grove, 7 Sisters, Mt. Elmer and Green Canyon Traverse. The scenery was a lot different this time around. The first time it was green and warm. This time it was dark, white and cold. There was this stupid cloud following us the WHOLE run. It was sunny on our right and left. But the sun never hit us. It was blowing a lot. The trail was snowy at the top and VERY muddy. Even on descents we had to take it slow because it was so slippery. But it was very pretty. High Creek lake was amazing. It was frozen over and the snow added an awesome look to it. After Tony Grove, Nuckles bonked. So I'd run ahead a ways, then stop and wait for him. That slowed us down quite a bit. But it was fun. Good to do this run again before the real snow came.

| Did one final run that was at a higher elevation (before the snow gets here). Did the green and berdneiu trail. It was pretty windy and cold up top. I was freezing by the end. Great run

| Today was Tanner's wedding. It was a good one. Can't believe that he actually got married. Good for him. I've been sick the past 24 hours....runny nose, sore throat, headache. Kept it slow and shorter (probably should have taken the day off). Did a run from my house to first dam and back

| Should've taken the day off again....did a run from my house to green. I was gonna run up green a ways...but the trail was slushy and wet...my feet were getting too wet so I turned around and added part of the BST. I was pooped and very fatigued. Planning on tomorrow as a break day

| Took some days off this week. I went to Colorado to help my brother move home....didn't really have time to run and I needed a break. Ran BST and green half today. 90% of it was snow....and I forgot how much more difficult it is for me to run on snow. Towards the top of green it was pretty slippery and soft.....I can't wait for summer to get here

| Took the day off from work so I could do a trail run with Nuckles. We did BST to Green. Not the best run...the lower half was ICY and the upper half was fresh powder....1 to 2 feet. So we were either slipping or high kneeing it through the snow. Quite a work out.

| Did a speed work out for Thanksgiving. I ran 5 miles as quick as I pretty much could. Went at a 6:10 pace from my house to Hyde Park. That really destroyed my lungs. After that I did a 2 mile cool down. I thought I was running at a 10 minute pace during my cool down but it was actually 8:30....felt super slow compared to 6:10. Good work out though

| Decided I was tired of not getting a long run in on Saturday's. So, I car pooled with a buddy to work today, left 2 hours early, and ran home (back to the south Mcdonalds). I've always wanted to run Sardine Canyon. After trail running, it definitely wasn't that awesome. It is cool to say I ran home from Brigham to Logan though. I was very paranoid the whole time as well....those cars on that highway are moving pretty fast. Good run....yet crappy....the road just destroys my body.
