| Location: Logan,Ut,United States Member Since: Jul 14, 2013 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: My very first race was the Top of Utah Half Marathon. I finished in 01:29:45. Even though it wasn't amazing, I took 3rd place in my age division which was a huge accomplishment for myself. After that I did a large amount of 5 and 10K's, Ragnar's, etc. In 2012 I put together and Ultra Ragnar Team. After this I started to focus on shorter races and worked towards running track with Utah State University. As I was getting close to running with the team, I met Cody Draper. He introduced me to trail running....I'm now a trail runner! Just did my first ultra marathon two weeks ago...Logan Peak. I finished in 5th place and got under my goal of 5 hours.
Short-Term Running Goals: In the next two years, I'd like to run a 50K and a 50 miler. If those two races go well, I'd like to do the Bear 100 in 2 years from this summer. Long-Term Running Goals: I'm not sure how much of a goal this is...it's more of a wish that's way towards the stars. I'd like to eventually get good enough that I have offers to be sponsored as a runner. But my actual long term goals are:
1. A 100 miler 2. Win an ultra marathon. 3. Be apart of the 80 year old marathon runner club Personal: I'm single! The only exciting thing going on in my life is I'm getting into trail running! |

| Did a good snowy run from green over to just above second. Took the BST over. The trails were covered the entire time with snow. Didn't go extremely fast but still got under 8:00 mph pace. Great views. Super cold...my face was completely numb 20 minutes into it. Not really looking forward to running in this cold

| Didn't do a normal long Saturday run. After work it started to snow and I wanted to get to the USU basketball game. Went up at an 8:52 pace and sped up on the way down. Just ran from my apartment and went about halfway up Green. Chilly run. My face was completely frosted over. Good week with some good distance

| Did the same run I did on Saturday. It was freaking freezing! Eyelashes frosted over. Whole hat and face mask was white. -10 will do that. Didn't go too fast. My legs were tight and the cold took away a lot of motivation to push it.

| Went from the Temple and did the canal trail, cut up to the BST trail, and took the new trail over up to second dam. A little faster than yesterday but still a tad slow on account of slipping all over on the snow...and my legs were dead

| Ran from my apartment to halfway up green canyon again. Nothing to eventful happend today. I also ran a mile on a treadmill and did a random workout....hills/slow and flat/fast. My legs are pretty dead. I think I'm taking tomorrow off.

| Did my apartment to green again. This time though I didn't go as far up and made up the miles by donig the face of green. As I was starting the face of green I noticed a familiar truck...Mr. Cody Draper. He was pretty far ahead of me though. As I was about 5-10 minutes from the top, he passed me coming down. But the champ turned around and finished it with me. Coming down was fun....my super old shoes were not gripping anything. Got some nice skiing in

| Did a good climb tonight with Cody. Trail was covered in snow...but packed. We could tell when we got out of the inversion...the air got super warm and clean. It was awesome. Got to miles under a six minute pace on the way down.

| Last a night was a huge snow storm. Was planning on doing the canal and BST trail but it was covered with snow. So I just stayed on the road and headed up the canyon. I tried doing some of the river trail...but it was super hard and no fun. Very deep snow.

| Did a road run to break in my new trail shoes. Let's just say this....until you get a new pair of shoes, you really don't realize how much your old shoes are making your body ache...and slowing you down. I felt great on this run. I love these shoes so far. Today I ran up to Dave's grave. It felt good to sit there and think about him. Then I ran to Hyde Park. Forgot to start my watch til .50 miles away from the apartment. It was a good run

| Did a run out in my home town today. Tried to take the dirt roads that farmers use. Mile 2 to 3 was pretty brutal...either super super super super slick or super super super deep in snow. That mile really slowe me down. Not too much climbing. I'm just happy to get on dirt and off pavement. Merry Christmas!

| Went skiing today. Was up at Powder Mtn from 9:30 to 4:30. By the time I got home it was 6:30. So I decided to do a short fast run today. Felt good with my pace! The cool air felt great. The stars were great as well. Good run

| Did Cody's unofficial half today. The snow was very icy. Fell down once. That really hurt my knee. Went pretty slow between the ice and the snow breaking. Plus my legs were really dead. But it was still a pretty good run
